Fremont - Mrs. Sarah T. Best, 78, passed on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 1:00pm at St. James Church of Christ DOC, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Golden Gate Memorial Gardens, 4734 Highway 117 North, Pikeville, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on August 14, 1943 in Wilson County, NC to Albert “Bud” Tucker and Sudie Whitley Tucker. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Marvin R. Best of the home; her three sons: Ricky Best (Roosevelt, NY), Michael Best (Fremont, NC) and Anthony Best (White Plains, Maryland); grandchildren: Crystal Artis, Adrienne Artis, Ashleigh Best, Cheyenne Best who provided much care for her during her illness and George Davis; daughter in love, Shyronn Moore; sisters and brothers-in-law: Carrie, Willie and James Best, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
