LaGrange - Ms. Sharon Tonnette Phillips, 45 of 1045 LaGrange Road, passed on Saturday morning, March 18, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00pm at Thompson Chapel FWB Church, 2393 N. Beston Road, La Grange, NC with Reverend William Waters officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a public viewing held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on May 19, 1971 in Wayne County, NC to Marvin and Thelma Smith Parks Sr. She is survived by her two daughters: Shykira Farmer and Shamesha Farmer and brother, Marvin “Peanut” Parks Jr. of LaGrange, NC and four sisters: Erlene Hobbs of Raleigh, NC, Gwendolyn McDowell of Pikeville, NC, Linda (Anthony) Reid of Richmond, VA and Elna (Gary) Raiford of Raleigh, NC.
