Goldsboro - Ms. Shelvy Jean Moses, 73, was welcomed home to eternal rest on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 8:00 p.m., by her Lord and savior at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at l:00 p.m. with a viewing from 12:00pm to 12:45pm at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, 900 W. Brick Street (Hwy 117 Bypass), Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on September 25, 1950 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the late Ervin and Sallie Barnes Moses. Shelvy attended Goldsboro Public Schools and was in the Dillard High School Class of 1968. After living in Brooklyn for thirty years, Shelvy returned to her roots in Goldsboro to spend her remainder years with her family.
