Goldsboro - Mrs. Shirley Marie Hill, 70, passed on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00am at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 10:00am to 10:50am at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd., Ft. Bragg, NC.
She was born on December 21, 1949 in Louisburg, North Carolina to Mr. Bennie Dunston, Jr. and Mrs. Elnora Clemonts Dunston. Shirley was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Susie Bell and Paul Baker and her grandmother, Mrs. Jessie Sutton, all of whom preceded her in death. Shirley was married to the late Mr. Albert Lee “Chris” Hill.
