Ms. Shonta Nannette Byrd's Obituary
Dudley - Ms. Shonta N. Byrd, 35 of 537 Rollingwood Drive, passed on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11:00am at Greater St. John FWB Church, 613 Mitchell Road, Dudley, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Augusta Chapel MBC Cemetery, 599 Durham Lake Road, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 6:000m until 8:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations.
She was educated in the Wayne County Public School System, where she graduated in 1999. Shonta was known for her bright smile, sense of humor, willingness to help everyone, infectious laugh, love of singing and her favorite saying, "I Got You!"
She was born on May 5, 1981 in Goldsboro,NC to Carrie Byrd Jr. and Annette Holloman Byrd. She is survived by her parents; sister, Andrea Byrd; niece, Keshanyna Johnson; sisters: Minister Aletha Leftdwrige, Pastor Syreeta Blue (Paul), Venus Jackson and Tichelle Cole, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her memory is forever in our hearts.
