Mr. Simon Zephaniah Jackson's Obituary
Parkstown - Mr. Simon Zephaniah "Uncle Bob" Jackson, 95, passed on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, and from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mt. Zion Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1289 Parkstown Road, La Grange, NC.
He was born in Wayne County, NC on November 8, 1920 to James Jackson and Lula Joyner Jackson. He is survived by three daughters: Donnell Jackson Powell of Goldsboro, NC, Rosemary Jackson Watson of Upper Marlboro, MD and Lula Jackson Craig (Frederick) of Landover, MD, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
