Warsaw - Minister Sylvia Diane "Mae" Smith, 57 of 2337 W. Wards Bridge Road, passed on Saturday night, June 14, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00am at Big Zion AME Zion Church, 227 Summerlins Crossroads Rd., Kenansville, NC with Pastor Patricia S. Peterson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Smith Family Cemetery, Kenansville, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 1:00pm until 7:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at
J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. She was born on January 17, 1957 in Duplin County, NC to Raeford and Willie Lucille Miller Smith. She is survived by her sisters: Delphine Smith, Gloria Jean Smith and Lewelyn Smith all of Warsaw, NC; her brothers: Marvin Smith of Warsaw, NC and Reginald Smith of Durham, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was the founder of Mae's Baking & Catering (The Smith Family) of Warsaw, NC. Professional, sympathetic, dignified, compassionate care and service entrusted to J.B.
