Goldsboro - Ms. Sylvia Elizabeth Stevens, 57 of 301 Randall Lane Apt. E, passed on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Word Faith Center, 296 Buck Swamp Road, Goldsboro, NC with Pastor Mary Connor officiating. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 US Hwy 70 E, Princeton, NC. There will be a visitation held on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 5:00pm until 6:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
She was born in Bimini, Bahamas on August 20, 1958 to Walter Bain and Marinette Eliza Richardson Sands. She is survived by her daughter, Laronda Stevens; son, Jonathan Stevens; and two grandsons: DeQuan Jefferson and Semay Williams.
