Goldsboro - Mother Terry Swinson Horne, 74, answered her heavenly father's call and transitioned from this earthly walk of life to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at UNC Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 12:00 noon with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:50am at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Court, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC.
She was born on August 9, 1950 in Wayne County, NC to Eddie and Sarah Hall Swinson. She leaves cherished memories to her a devoted husband, Douglas Horne of the home; devoted daughter, LaSonya (Thomas) Woodom of Goldsboro, NC; three sisters: Minnie S. Williamson, Madie S. Carter of Augusta, GA and Glenda S. Carter of Goldsboro, NC; one niece, Nita Barnes of Charlotte, NC; three step-children: Ronnie Horne, Douglas Horne, Jr and Angela H. Washington; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.
