Goldsboro - Deacon Thaddeus Swindell Best Sr., 87 of 1108 S. Slocumb Street, passed on Tuesday morning, March 24, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00pm at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N William Street, Goldsboro, NC with Dr. William J. Barber, II officiating. He will be laid to rest in the best Family Cemetery, Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, march 28, 2015 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Greenleaf Christian Church.
The family will assemble in preparation for the funeral at 11:00am.
He was born on November 28, 1927 in Wayne County, NC to John William Best and Clara Fields Best. He is survived by his wife, Helen Dixon Best of the home and his children.
