Goldsboro - Ms. Thelma Lee Coley Joyner, 85, passed on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 7:00pm until 8:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
She was born in Wayne County, NC on February 15, 1931 to William David Coley and Tempie Hamilton Coley. She is survived by four children:Velma Joyner of Goldsboro, NC, Charlene Joyner of Wendell, NC, Angela J. Wright (Stephen) of Youngsville, NC and Edwin Dean Joyner (Felisa) of Franklinton, NC; one brother, William F. Coley Jr. of Goldsboro, NC; a sister, Mable Ruth Hall of Camden, NJ; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
