Goldsboro - Mr. Thomas Ray "Snook" Hardy, 73 of 200 Whitfield Drive, passed on Thursday morning, April 24, 2014 at Willow Creek Nursing & Rehab Center. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion Church Ministries, 325 Whitfield Drive, Goldsboro, NC with Elder Charlie B. Walker Jr., eulogist and Elder Gladys Diggs presiding. He will be laid to rest in the Old Mill Cemetery, Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be visitation with the family on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at
J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. He was born on August 5, 1940 in Wayne County the son of Note and Lillie Mae Parks Hardy. He is survived by a son, Kenneth Earl Lewis of Cary, NC; two brothers: Jack Bryant (Peggy) of Dudley, NC and Herman Hardy of the home; six sisters: Mary Horner of Philadelphia, PA, Kay Frances Hardy (John) of Brooklyn, NY, Nellie Ruttley of Goldsboro, NC, Hilda Evans of Goldsboro, Lillie Weeks of Goldsboro and Elder Dollie Fields of the home.
