Goldsboro - Retired SSgt. Thomas W. Scales, 89, completed his earthly journey and transitioned from this earthly walk of life on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at UNC Wayne Healthcare, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on May 10, 1935 in Mt. Airy (Mayberry), NC to John Henry Scales and Selena Whitlock Scales. He is survived by his children; grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.
