The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11:30am with a viewing from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on August 15, 1951 in Wayne County, NC to Robert Henry Mathis Sr. and Mildred Wooten Mathis.He is survived by his loving wife, Thomasa D. Jones Mathis; his children and other loving relatives and friends.
