Kinston - Mr. Tom "Boy Harper" Harper Sr., 85, passed on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Lenoir UNC Healthcare, Kinston, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00pm at Post Oak Free Will Baptist Church, 266 Dawson Station Road, Kinston, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Pinelawn Memorial Park, 4488 US Hwy 70 West, Kinston, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Loftin Memorial-J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 106 N. East Street, Kinston, NC.
He was born on May 8, 1932 in Greene County, NC to Paul and Effie Barfield Harper. He is survived by one son, Tom W. Harper Jr.
