Fremont - Mr. Tony Jermaine Lewis, 42 of 802 W. Grantham Street, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013. The funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm at St. James Church of Christ, 514 Memorial Church Road, Fremont, NC with Pastor Mark T. Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Fremont Cemetery. There will be a visitation held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with the family present from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. He was born on August 11, 1971 in Goldsboro, NC to Marvin Jones and Nancy Jones Lewis. Tony graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School, Pikeville, NC in 1988. He was a professional painter by trade. Survivors include his children: Kendra Shay Simmons Lewis, Demarcus Montrell Simmons Lewis and Zaelynn Rae Gregory all of Goldsboro, NC; a step-daughter, Kendall Nichole Simmons; five sisters: Doris Scales (Willie) of Flower Mound, Texas, Barbara Holmes of Fremont, NC, Evelyn Jones Wade (Donald) of Wilson, NC, Gail Jones Artis (James) of Wilson, NC, and Gwendolyn Joyce Fisher of Wilson, NC; four brothers: Herbert Lewis (Teresa) of Fayetteville, NC, Donald Lewis (Gloria) of Goldsboro, NC, Frederick Lewis (Sharon) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Walter Jones of Wilson, NC, a special friend, Jackie Lynn Gregory; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
