Goldsboro - Ms. Valencia M. Skinner, 35, was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:45am at Cent Read Obituary
My sincere condolences to the Skinner family. My prayers will continue to as you reflect and cherish your memories of Valencia. I had the opportunity to be her teacher at CHE. She was so sincere and brought joy to our class. Her laughter and hugs were priceless. Valencia was a great student and a role model in our classroom. She did well academically and always put forth her best effort.
I still have a gift she gave me. When other students see it, I tell them it was from a former student. Now, that she has gone to glory, I humbly say, thank you to the family. Thank you all for allowing me to serve Valencia. She was a gift to me.
My encouragement to everyone, is to pray and support each other in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Valencia. I took care of her when she watched at Goldsboro High.Se was so sweet. I am so hurt. God knows best. Keeping the family lifted up in prayer. I loved her.
