Mt. Olive - Ms. Vanessa Ann Darden, 46 of 131 W. Williamson Road, passed on Friday night, April 11, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. The celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm, graveside in the Pearsall Family Cemetery, Tram Road, Mt. Olive, NC with Elder Jesse F. Warren, III officiating. She was born on April 6, 1968 in Duplin County to C.W. and Joyce Pearsall Thomas. She is survived by: two sons, Keith Pearsall of the home and Donte’ Darden of Raleigh, NC; her mother, Joyce Thomas of Mt. Olive, NC; two sisters, Valerie (Garcia) Kornegay and Marlena Thomas (Franklin Monroe) both of Mt. Olive, NC; two step-sisters, Barbara (Hardy) Jones of Cordova, TN and Teresa (Roosevelt) Boyd of Belzoni, MS; five aunts, May Ann Davis, Jewel (Donald) Kornegay, Shirley (Emanuel) Fenton, Cindy Faison all of Mt. Olive, NC and Gloria Miller of Washington, DC; one uncle, Bruce (Suzanne) Pearsall of Fayetteville, NC; one niece, Jayla Kornegay; four nephews, Brion Kornegay, Caleb Kornegay, Aaron Monroe and Franklin Monroe, II all of Mt. Olive, NC; special grandparents, Elder Johnson (Louella) Simpson Jr. Professional, sympathetic, dignified, compassionate care and service entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
