Mrs. Velma Deloris Rowe Williams' Obituary
Goldsboro - Mrs. Velma Rowe Williams, 48 of 1402 S. Slocumb Street, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at home. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Bear Creek Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm at Bear Creek.
She was born was on March 25, 1967 in Wayne County, NC to Linwood Earl Rowe Sr. and Hilda Bowden. She is survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, Charles Williams Jr.; her son, Charles Williams III "Duke"; her mother, Hilda Bowden Sumlin of Goldsboro, NC; stepfather, Lenard "Peanut" Sumlin of Goldsboro, NC; stepmother, Nellie Rowe of Parkstown; her sister, Crystal Koonce of Goldsboro, NC; brothers: Linwood Earl Rowe Jr. (Sheila) of Fayetteville NC, Rodney Rowe (Brandi) of Temple TX, Mario Carmichael of Goldsboro, NC, Anya Jakarta (AJ) Dawson of Goldsboro, NC, George Koonce ((Carletha) of Selma, NC and Bernard Koonce (Tasha) of Japan; father-in-law, Bishop Charles Williams (Linda Faye) of Goldsboro, NC; sister-in -law, Valerie Williams; brother-in-law, Antraun Williams; grandmother-in-law, Margaret Williams Oates of Goldsboro, NC. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including two aunts: Darlene Parker and Elaine White, who were like sisters to her, she also leaves to cherish three Godchildren : Christopher Smith, Jabetta McGiver and Brea Lockamy. Lastly, her angel, advocate and partner, Phyllis.
