Brother Boo Hoo was an amazing person and a dynamic man of God. Who exhibited love, kindness, and goodness everywhere he went. He had such a giving heart and never wavered from who he was. You always knew who was going to show up when you saw him.
May the love of God who continues to dwell within you keep you all in his tender loving care.

To the entire Broadie family: I have known Vernon for nearly 52 years and I will say he never loss the ability to be comical. You couldn't help but laugh at his humor. Even though he had a humorous side he equally had a serious side. He also through the years became a man of strong faith and knowledge of the scriptures. I will miss his presence and I know Hilda and the family will feel his absence. However, Vernon will live on through the many memories of his wife, his children, his family and his many friends. Let us not forget the many good times. May we all continue to remember this family during these difficult times. Thanks, Rex Harris.

We the Pastor, Co-Pastor, ministers, officers, and entire membership express our deepest and sincerest condolences to Dr. Linda Carol Broadie Barnes in the passing of Deacon Vernon Broadie. We, further extend our condolences to Sis. Hilda Broadie and family, as well as, to Pastor Janet W. Ward, Brother David Ward, and the Sheepfold Church of Jesus.

On a personal note, Terri and I will NEVER forget how he built an “A” roof on our flat roof den at our former residence and only charged for the materials. Because it’s right to do right, we gave him something for labor anyway due to the number of hours he spent working on it.

He will be greatly missed!
