Goldsboro - Mrs. Virginia Robinson Gerald, 100 of 212 Gerald Lane, passed on Monday, August 28, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family. The celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00am at Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, 1114 S. Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, NC. She will be laid to rest at the Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a viewing held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.
She was born on July 25, 1917 in Wayne County, NC to Ella Baggett and Acey McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 81 years, Robert Gerald Sr. and one son, Lawrence Gerald Sr. She is survived by her ten children: Grace Wallace (James), Yvonne Garvin, Annette Jamerson, Virginia Atkinson (Willie), Robert Gerald Jr. (Dollie), Billy Gerald (Sandra), Linda Peters (Richard), Joann Davis (Frankie), Peggy Bennett (Harry) and Sandra Hailstock (Dwight), a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
