Elder Warren Allen Keyes' Obituary
Greenville- Elder Warren "Allen" Keyes, 50, passed on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Wave Church of Greenville, 2600 E. Firetower Road, Greenville, NC. There will be a visitation held from 11:00am to 11:50am at the church. He will be laid to rest at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 10:00am with military honors.
Elder Keyes was born on February 13, 1969 in Plymouth, NC to Lewellyn and Alberta Jones Keyes. Affectionately known as Allen, he received his early childhood education in Pitt County Schools, graduating from D. H. Conley High School in 1988. Allen continued his education at Pitt Community College, earning a degree in Bio Technology. He then served in the United States Navy, assigned to the USS Nimitz as an Air Traffic Controller. Allen will receive full military honors and burial in Goldsboro National Cemetery in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Introduced to each other by a friend, Allen married Christina Renea Harris on May 13, 2001. They were serving God together when Allen was called into the ministry and ordained May 19, 2013.
With his parents, Elder Warren Keyes leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Christina Renea Keyes; five sons: Demetrius Montrel Ange (Carrie) of Ayden, NC, Kevin Aaron Keyes of Greenville, NC, Jeffrey Alexander Keyes (Jaye Lynette) of Greenville, NC, Harley Skyllar Kinkead and Julius Allen Keyes, both of Greenville, NC; one daughter, Maya Gabrielle Keyes of the home; one grandson, Rion Kai Roseborough; one sister, Shannon Danielle Keyes of Winterville, NC; one brother, Jason Patrick Keyes (Ralaya) of Denver, CO; four uncles: Budly Jones (Jeannette) of New Bern, NC, John Jones (Hazel) of Greensboro, NC, Ernest Jones (Oral} of Plymouth, NC and Hilton Keyes (Lorraine) of Jamesville, NC; six aunts: Gloria Keyes of Greenville, NC, Shirley Keyes of Jamesville, NC, Emma Horton of Plymouth, NC, Annie Carr (Bennie) of Plymouth, NC, Gertina Batson (William} of Hurlock, Maryland and Vera Mills (Earl) of Durham, NC; his mother-in-law, Patricia Barnes of the home; father-in-law, William Earl Carney of Greenville, NC; three nephews: Isaiah Lewellyn Keyes, Antonio Demetrius Farmer "AJ" and Ajani Donnell Gray Farmer and a host of cousins and friends.
