Over the years, Wesley always impressed me as being honest, authentic, and drama-free.
I observed how his friendship knew no borders. Regardless of your station or rank in life, regardless of your age (young, old or in between), regardless of your race (Black, White, Latino, or from Middle East), or regardless of your faith (Christian or Muslim), Wesley naturally disarmed you with his laughter and warm smile… making you feel like a long-time friend.
Our nation’s top diplomats have nothing on Wesley. In fact, they could learn a thing or two from him about relationship building and “playing well with others.” Perhaps there would be more peace in our world … if it had more Wesleys in it.
Will miss you, cuz.
