Asheville - Mr. William H. Best Jr., 70, transitioned from this earthly walk of life on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:50am at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC at 2:00pm.
He was born on May 4, 1954 in Wayne County, NC to William H. Best Sr. and Bessie Lee Speight Best. He is survived by his son, Lorenzo Williams; his sister, Yvonne B. Goodman (William), Goldsboro, NC and host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
