There are so many memories of Deacon Cooper that I will hold near and dear to my heart. I literally grew up with him as a young child in Augusta Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. His intelligence, wisdom, love of history and sense of humor created what we knew as our Beloved Deacon. I cannot hear or sing "Yes God is Real" and not think of Deacon Cooper. He was a man who loved God, his church and his church family. May his love and legacy live on within not only Augusta Chapel but the Bear Creek family as well. Continued prayers for Mrs. Gwen and the Cooper families.
