Goldsboro - Mr. William Darnell Edwards, 73, passed on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00pm at Word of Truth Christian Fellowship, 1401 N. Carolina Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Fremont Cemetery, Winding Branch Ave, Fremont, NC. There will be a viewing held on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
He was born in Greene County, NC to Archie Edwards and Hazel Ham Jones. He is survived by two daughters: Myrone Latee Edwards and Brenda Herring both of Goldsboro, NC; three sons: William Oleander Edwards (Kim), Julian Earl Edwards and Tago Devon Edwards (Linda) all of Goldsboro, NC; two sisters: Bertha Ham King of Mt. Rainer, MD and Teretha (Clement) of Erwin, NC; brothers: Oscar Jones (Jackie ) of Princeton, NC, Kaster Jones (Ruby) of Alexandria, LA, Ernest Jones (Penny) of Wilson, NC, Stanley Jones of Richmond, VA and Willie Jones of Wilson, NC; sister-in-law, Novella Perry of Goldsboro, NC; grandchildren: Keri, Tim, Shantae, Tago Jr., Destiny, Mary, Cameron, William, Julian, Dontrell and Zaria; 13 great grandchildren.
