As I recall the memories of childhood, Mr Hendrix stands out, always greeting me with a smile and yet a stern reminder to do the right things. Melinda, your journey with your mother reflects commitment, strength and enduring love of patience and care the last few years. Most of all it reflects the loving husband/father he was. I will miss you sharing Sgt. Hendrix and daddy tales of trying to make a comeback. Love you all!
Always enjoyed visiting the Hendrix family coming to Goldsboro with our kids..Mr and Mrs Hendrix always gracious during our visits and I'll always remember Mr.Hendrix quick sense of humor..God Bless and I pray the family Peace, comfort and strength..RIP Mr Hendrix 🙏

Mrs. Hendrix, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be keeping you and the family lifted up in prayer! Hendrix was my card playing buddy. We were neighbors for about 26 years. I know that he will be missed by so many including myself. Many the peace of God strengthen you during this difficult time!
