Mr. Wisdom Lee Simms Sr.'s Obituary
Goldsboro - Mr. Wisdom "Bill" Simms, 84 of 222 Herbert Street, passed on Monday, October 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. The celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC with military honors. There will be a viewing held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the family arriving to greet friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
He was born on September 12, 1933 in Wayne County, NC to Offie Lee and Lula Mae Bryant Simms. He is survived by his children: Cynthia D. Simms, Deborah Jean Simms Jackson, Patricia Simms Williams, Wisdom Lee Simms Jr, Anthony O. Simms (Roxanne), Michael Lee Simms and Joy Holmes Yelverton (Dexter); his sister, Annie Ruth Simms Anderson; sister-in-law, Mae Simms and aunt, Retha Hall.
