Goldsboro - Mrs. Zelda Swinson Ward "Pudding", 68 of 414 S. Herman Street, passed on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1:00pm at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 US Hwy 70, Princeton, NC. There will be a viewing held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm with the family arriving to receive friends from 4:00pm until 5:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born on September 30, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to Paul Ellis and Telzie Swinson. She is survived by her husband, Fletcher Ward and her children.
