Betty Jenkins, or BJ as we so affectionately called her, was not just a co-worker, but a very dear friend and confidante for more than four decades. We shared laughter and tears, happiness and sadness, good times and hard times as only truly good friends could experience. BJ was a lively person, always laughing and joking. She was the life of the party and a fun person to be around. Not only I, but many of our co-workers and friends are grieved and deeply saddened at her passing; but we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Eddie, so sorry to hear of the passing of my home girl, classmate and your sister. I feel your hurt. Betty telephoned me just before our 50th class reunion celebration and we talked for two hours.
