Today we celebrate your life; a life well lived.
Dexter you are truly going to be missed. Some of my fondest memories are one, when you stayed with me a short time during the summer while you were at St. Augustine's College, two attending the Closing Achievement Gap conferences, and three when you would pick me up to ride together for family events in the DMV area.
Our conversation would always be about the same thing - family (Daddy, Uncle Mutt, Uncle Devey), you staying the summers in Oxford with Phillip and Rick, (and when you went back to school the teacher would always ask what did you do over the summer and you would say proudly "I went to Oxford to stay with my cousins."), singing with cousins in the children's choir at Whetstone and your favorite song was "Just a Closer Walk with Thee", school/educating children and doing what's right for them, and last but not least his mother Aunt Shirley. She was the most important part of his life. He wanted to make sure that he was there for her and she was taken care of.
To sum it up; Dexter loved God, his Family, and the Educational field.
I love you and I'm going to miss you but God loves ❤️ you best! Today is your closer walk with thee!
Until we meet again!
Your cousin Salinder "Pat" Evans Broady
