Goldsboro - Mr. Dillard Melton Jr., 65 of 1460 Old Grantham Road, passed on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a visitation held on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 11:00am until 12:00 noon at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at 2:00pm at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC with military honors.
He was born in Wayne County, NC to Dillard Melton Sr. & Alvenia Atkinson Melton.
The family is receiving friends at the home of his sister, Murdis Jenkins, 400 Shadowy Lane, Goldsboro, NC, where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
