Goldsboro- Mrs. Doris Lee Murphy, 91, an exemplary educator and principal, completed her earthly journey and transitioned from labor to reward, Monday, April 27, 2026 at UNC Health Wayne. She was an exceptional individual who was admired and loved by those who knew her. She was a very classy lady, who carried herself with the utmost pride and respect. The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 2,2026 at 11:00 AM at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534. There will be a viewing from 10:00-10:50. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park South 2925 US Hwy 117 South, Dudley, NC 28333.
The family has requested potted plants ONLY, no stand up plants.
