For me remembering Mr. Park brings a smile and a tear. I graduated in 1981 from Ayden-Grifton High School a couple of days before graduation he called me into the office and being the one who was calling names for graduation,he said to me " Can you pronounce your full name for me, and we worked on him pronouncing my full name for about an hour and half. When it came down to me graduating and it was my turn to walk he stopped me and said "before you come let me get this name right" and he did. And gave me one of the biggest hugs.

My condolences to the family.
Mr. Parks was my Assistant Principal at AGHS, class of 1978. It was his consistent positive discipline, concern,
guidance and advocating for the students that made a difference in my life. It was because of his proactive guidance that I attended and graduated from ECSU. He believed that we, the students, could do great things and challenged us to inspire others to do the same. Thank you, Mr. Parks.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I was at Ayden Grifton in high school and I helped him with bus schedules and different little duties. We enjoyed a good friendship. He was always so kind. When I graduated he gave me a Sampsonite briefcase, which I still have. Have thought of him often over the years.
