Mr Washington was my boss many years ago at the N&O. I enjoyed visiting him and his wife Mary at their home a few years back and seeing her collection of dolls. I’m so sorry I was recovering from surgery and missed his home going service. Condolences to his wife and family.
I used to work at the nursing home he lived at I quit working there before he died I was not aware that he had passed he was a good man my condolences to the family

He was so very kind and always greeted us Ushers with a smile each Sunday morning. We missed the presence when you all relocated, but you remained in our thoughts and prayers.
