To Beth and Lauren,
I will truly miss the long telephone conversations with your mom and grandmother since she and I really became aquainted planning the Health Fair for the Dillard Alumni and Goldsboro High School. She was a lady full of wisdom and a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed the many discussions and debates we shared. She will surely be missed. My pray is that GOD will grant you strength and comfort during this time and days to come. I am going to miss my friend.

Julia, a remarkable women of integrity and kindness, impacted the life of so many, some whom she knew well and others more distant. I may have briefly met Julia once, I really cannot recall the incident, however my reflections of her are deeply rooted in conversations I have witnessed from others. Her supportive nature and surrogate like mother regard for my neice Kristina Sylvester and encouraging friend and confident to her mom Frances Jackson, my sister from another mother, Julia was the epitome of grace and humility. Her unselfish nature and willingness to go above and beyond to bond in friendship and love is unparalleled. Rarely does one find such a combination of strength and human character. I am so happy both Kristina and Frances were afforded the opportunity to be a part of Julia’s earthly journey and that God saw fit that they would connect in such a way. We are all so fortunate to have been touched by God’s angle, may she rest in heavenly peace. Marilyn Seabrooks, Washington, DC
Our sincere condolences to Beth and Lauren. We know that Mrs. Lewis loved you dearly. She will be greatly missed as a dear friend. For over 40 years, we shared wonderful memories while at Brookland Union Baptist Church. She has earned her reward may she rest in peace. Alice Yeager and Family
