I have no words to describe how much "Mother Carter" meant to me. Since I didn't have the opportunity to say "goodbye" to my mother before she died, I am so grateful for the opportunity to say goodbye to Karna. I love you all for sharing her with us these last 30+ years. I know that her legacy will live on in each of you in some special way. But there will never be another Karna aka Karen Carter. I know that she is resting in Jesus, with her "I'm creating" self (insider).

To My Dear "Other Family"., Please know that I share in your loss and was saddened to learn of Ms. Karna"s passing. She was such a sweet and dear person to me, she was a woman that loved God and her church. I will cherish the many times in the salon trying all the many new styles on her. She'd say "Tee, do your thing and I trust you". She was always satisfied and in good cheer. Tears flow as I reflect writing this. Years back we all went on the dinner cruise in Wilmington and celebrated with the Class of 1959. Barry White' song "Cant Get Enough of Your Love" came on and Ms. Carter said Tee, that was my song back in the day! We listened and enjoyed together and to this day.....when the radio plays that song i think of Ms. Karna. She had class, taste and always kept a positive attitude. I truly loved her and will miss her, but i will now celebrate her legacy and love, and rejoice that there is no more pain, suffering, or limitations no more. She is free, home and healed forever!! Karna Jean and Shirley Jean are celebrating together . October girls and same ages. May God give you all the peace and comfort you need in this difficult time and days after.
