Mr. Marshall Lemmon Watson's Obituary
Charlotte - Mr. Marshall L. Watson, 55, formerly of Goldsboro, completed his earthly journey on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 12:00pm with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:45am at the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA), 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at 2:00pm with full military honors at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on November 29, 1967 in Wayne County, NC to Norman Watson and Clina Edwards Joyner. He leaves cherished memories to his loving wife, Dr. Lisa (Li Li) Davis-Watson, of the home; former wife, Dr. Rhonda (Nicky) Watson; daughter, Marchelle Watson; son, Lemonte Watson (Chelsea); stepdaughter, Lei-Lani Smallwood; grandsons, Ryder Dennis and Liam Watson; one sister, Gloria Betty Taylor; three brothers, Norman Edwards (Mary), Alvin Joyner, and Gregory Joyner (Katrina); special mother, Mama Linda Reese; special son, Michael (MJ) Morgan; and a host of special nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. One sister preceded him in death, Yvette Pendleton.
