Kinston - Bishop Otis Ray Simmons, 70, was called from labor to reward on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at home. The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly (GRDA), 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, NC, with a viewing being held from 11:00am to 12:50pm. He will be laid to rest at the Pinelawn Memorial Park, 4488 Hwy 70 West, Kinston, NC.
He was born on September 15, 1950 in Turkey, (Sampson County), NC to Levander Simmons and Vera Thompson Simmons. He is survived by his wife, Althea Becton Simmons and sons.
