Dudley - Mrs. Shirley W. Evans, 85, passed on Monday, October 18, 2021. The celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 12:00pm at First Congregational Church, 215 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley, NC. She will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US Highway 117 South, Dudley, NC. There will be a chapel viewing held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC.
She was born in Wayne County, NC to George and Mabel Wynn Waters. She is survived by survived by her sons: Virgil and Jansen (Felicia); daughter, Kateena Simmons; sister-in-law, Bertha Waters; brothers: George (Mamie) and Frederick; sister, Barbara Wilson; and five grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends who will cherish precious memories of her.
