Goldsboro - Elder Tommy C. Holt, 81 of 603 S. Claiborne Street, passed on Wednesday night, May 14, 2015 at Pruitt Health, Raleigh, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 1:00pm at Pentecostal Holy Church, 600 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 US 117 Hwy, Dudley, NC. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations and from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Pentecostal Holy Church.
He was born on March 17, 1934 in Ripley, Tennessee to Tom Holt and Henrietta Mann Holt. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Minister Mary Holt; his children: daughters Debra (Herbert) Smith of Florida, Themesher Holt of Goldsboro, Causha (Chris) Nelson of Florida, and one son Rubin Smith of Florida. 7 grandchildren, one sister-in-law Mother Mae Robinson, one brother-in-law Jim (Bea) Sherman. God sons Tavares Robinson & Steve Kornegay, His Excellent caregiver for the last three years Minister Sharon Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
